October 8, 2025 - The Poughkeepsie Children's Cabinet unveiled its newly redesigned website, offering the community an enhanced digital platform to explore the collaborative's cradle-to-career strategy, learn about ongoing initiatives, and discover opportunities to support Poughkeepsie's youth and families. The redesign reflects the Cabinet's commitment to transparency, accessibility, and community engagement as it works to ensure every child in Poughkeepsie has access to the supports and opportunities they need to thrive.

The Cabinet partnered with North Arrow, a mission-driven design firm specializing in impact mapping and data visualization for changemakers, to create a website that tells the story of Poughkeepsie's collective work through compelling visuals and interactive tools. North Arrow, known for building map-based dashboards and immersive presentations that help nonprofits and coalitions communicate their impact, brought their expertise in data-driven storytelling to help the Cabinet create a digital home that reflects the breadth and depth of the community's collaborative efforts.
The redesigned website features several new elements designed to make the Cabinet's work more accessible to community members, partners, and funders. A new Strategy and Impact page walks visitors through the Cabinet's comprehensive 10-year roadmap, showing how the collaborative is building a cradle-to-career pipeline through three strategic phases: laying the foundation, strengthening systems, and sustaining transformation. The Initiatives page provides detailed information about the Cabinet's priority areas, including early childhood development, out-of-school time programming, the Northside Initiative, and policy advocacy work at the local and state levels.
The website now includes dedicated pages introducing the Cabinet's staff team, Board of Directors, and Leadership Council, providing transparency about the people driving this collective work forward. A revamped Updates section features refreshed blog posts chronicling the Cabinet's recent activities, partnerships, and milestones, offering the community regular insights into the collaborative's progress and impact. The site also maintains key resources that have migrated from the previous platform, including the Cabinet's North Star goal of connecting more than 5,000 young people and families annually to transformative opportunities, and the interactive Community Dashboard that tracks outcomes across the cradle-to-career network.
The new website serves as a digital reflection of the Poughkeepsie Children's Cabinet's mission to build a civic infrastructure that unites efforts across sectors and creates lasting systemic change for the city's young people. Community members are invited to explore the site at pkchildren.org to learn more about how Poughkeepsie is collectively building pathways to socioeconomic mobility so that every child and family can thrive.
